What bullshit. What I took away from this is that Charles Bukowski is the kind of guy who asks women how many men they’ve slept with. Then he gets mad at her answer, whatever it is.

I like the idea that ‘when you play the field selfishly everything works against you’ - like it isn’t human nature to be selfish. Or that Bukowski isn’t being selfish when he asks his women to have only been with a set number of men, lest she be ‘rubbed raw by experience’.
